Armand Neuschl

Piano, Keyboards

Neuschl completed his studies in jazz piano at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 2023. He is an active session keyboardist, recording and collaborating with many of Hungary's top pop artists, performing annually at the world famous Sziget Festival, and at venues such as Budapest Park. He has also performed with the GödöllÅ‘ Symphony Orchestra. Besides this, he's also a piano educator and a composer, with his first solo album, "Self-portrait" appearing in 2024. He hosts the Szentendre Jazz Camp annually, a program aimed at introducing future generations to the world of jazz.

Benedek Virág

Guitar

Besides Budapest Orchestra Project, Virág is also the guitarist of two award-wining jazz groups, Symbiosis 5 and Koncz Kriszta Group. With these ensembles he has won the MÜPA Budapest Jazz Showcase twice, and  the prestigious Getxo International Jazz Competition in Spain. He has performed for jazz greats such as Ron Carter, Lage Lund and Melissa Aldana. He has regular concert engagements in Austria, Germany and Romania.  Virág is also one of the top young guitar educators in the Budapest area.

Tamás Gyányi

Acoustic and Electric Bass

Present in both the Hungarian capital's jazz and music theater scenes, Gyányi has been a pit musician in productions at the National Theater, Comedy Theater of Budapest and National Dance Theater, while also playing in award-winning jazz ensembles such as Symbiosis 5, Koncz Kriszta Group, and Ephemere. He is the recipient of the Bank of China, DezsÅ‘ Lakatos-Ablakos Jazz Performer and National Young Talents scholarships. He has won competitions such as the Getxo International Jazz Competition and the MÜPA Budapest Jazz Showcase. Gyányi is a Phil Jones Bass artist and founding member of Budapest Orchestra Project.

Roland Majsai

Drums

Majsai got introduced to the world of jazz at a very young age through his father, who is an acclaimed jazz and blues singer. He started his journey on the drums at age 11, and continued his studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. In 2022 he was named Young Jazz Musician of the Year by the Hungarian Jazz Federation. Besides Budapest Orchestra Project he is

the drummer of multiple award-winning ensembles, including Symbiosis 5 and Koncz Kriszta Group, winning prizes such as the Getxo International Jazz Competition and the MÜPA Budapest Jazz Showcase. Majsai is also an active composer, his pieces can be heard on albums such as "Wondering" by Symbiosis 5.
