Edvárd Gergely
Alto Saxophone (Lead), Flute, Alto Flute
Studying saxophone and flute at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Gergely was mentored by Hungarian saxophone greats Mihály Borbély, Kristóf Bacsó and István Elek. He has received the Bank of China Scholarship, as well as the 3rd Prize at the III. Hungarian Jazz Fedaration Combo Competition, playing his own compositions. He has performed with many of Hungary's leading pop artists, as well as the BJC Big Band. He is a regular session musician at Budapest Scoring.
Norbert Sándor
Alto Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Taragot
A founding member of Budapest Orchestra Project, Sándor is man of many instruments and is well versed in jazz, classical and folk music. He started out on classical clarinet, picking up the saxophone and the taragot during his time at the Snétberger Talent Center. He has won first prizes at the "Tibor Dittrich" and "János Richter" national clarinet competitions. He is currently a saxophonist and clarinetist in the Hungarian Customs Agency Band, and is a member of the Board of the National Taragot Institute, giving solo recitals regularly. His recent album, "Nexum", focuses on the contemporary Hungarian clarinet repertoire.



Bálint Uher-GyÅ‘rfi
Tenor and Soprano Saxophones,
Clarinet, Flute
Uher-GyÅ‘rfi began his musical education on classical clarinet before making the switch to jazz and the saxophone. He has since become a force to be reckoned with on the Hungarian jazz scene. A member of multiple bands, playing styles ranging from traditional Dixieland to modern fusion jazz, he has performed and recorded with greats such a Tony Lakatos and Mihály Borbély. He is also an educator and a pit musicians, playing in the orchestras of the Hungarian National Opera and PetÅ‘fi Theater of Veszprém.
Gellért Vadász
Tenor Saxophone, Flute
Graduating from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Vadász also received the Erasmus Scholarship and studied under Rosario Giulianni in Rome. He is the saxophonist of the acclaimed Hungarian pop band, Lóci Játszik, with which he not only played at major festivals and venues, such as the Puskás Arena and MVM Dome, but also in multiple theater and crossover productions as well. He was a member of the orchestra of the Comedy Theater of Budapest, and is a regular substitute in the Budapest Jazz Orchestra. He is also a sought after session musician, and a saxophone and flute educator in the Budapest area.


Marcell Vincze
Baritone Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Flute
Picking up the clatinet at age 7, and the saxophone at age 12, Vincze was already playing in the Debrecen Big Band during his high school years, both at home and on tours in Spain and the Czech Republic. He has played in ensembles such as Concerto Budapest, the Hungarian Radio Symphony and the orchestra of the Hungarian National Opera, working with likes of Péter Eötvös and Gidon Kremmer. He's a regular substitute in the Budapest Saxophone Quartett. Vincze is a founding member of Budapest Orchestra Project.
Máté Drippey
Tenor and Soprano Saxophones, Flute
Drippey completed his Bachelors degree in jazz saxophone in Budapest, and his Masters in Lausanne. During his time in Switzerland, he had chance to perform in the Stravinsky Hall in Montreux, at the Cully and Paléo festivals, and play with artists such as Robert Bonisolo, Matthieu Michel, Heiri Känzig among many others. He is also a composer, an arranger and a founding member of the award winning Hungarian jazz group, Symbiosis 5, with which he won competitions such as the Getxo International Jazz Competition, the MÜPA Budapest Jazz Showcase and the Sibiu Jazz Festival. In 2024 he was awarded the Junior Prima Prize, the highest honor for young Hungarian musicians.
